Following Microsoft's guidance can help you perform a virus scan remotely on a Microsoft Defender-protected endpoint. If you’ve received an alert or incident from Microsoft Defender notifying you of malware or potential unauthorized activity, you can follow this guide to perform a remote virus scan. Many other options are available, such as a collection of investigation packages remotely. We won’t cover that in-depth here but will point out where to find it.
